The Skyway fishing pier is the longest fishing pier in the world. Most of the common catches are snook, tarpon, groupers, black sea bass, spanish mackerel, king mackerel, cobia, sheephead, red snapper, pompano and many other fishes. The pier is open 24/7 through out the year. The pier is located next to the sunshine skyway bridge so the light from the bridge provides enough light for the fishermen. There are plenty of parking available and you can even park right next to your fishing spot. There is a convenient store on the pier for snacks, coffee and soft drinks.
